A portrait of a tree.
I am always struck by the trees that are planted beside the road and under the wires: they have a pretty rough go of it. They are planted where they won’t be watered, where their roots are hemmed in by roads and paths, they get urinated upon by random dogs, periodically they get hacked at by the energy companies and yet they adapt and grow in all their awkward glory and ultimately most of them thrive.
Do they accept the position they are in? Or do they fight (at times like me) for an easier lot in life?
Lessons learnt from a tree.
