Recently I received feedback about an application I made for an artist in residence. They were generous enough to offer feedback, which is rare in the art world, but honestly it was hard to hear. I became a little lost for direction. I had thought my focus was clear, but I was torn between wanting to take it on board and grow, versus if I change and become more innovative and contemporary, will I still be me?

After, a very helpful chat with a wise teacher, I became more enthused about the unknown way forward.
